Our History

Todd E. Haines, CPA, JD

Todd E. Haines was the Founding Partner of Haines, Isenbarger & Skiba, LLC.  In his over 30 years of experience, he coordinated the tax and consulting needs for many physician and medical group practices, nonprofit organizations, and other privately held companies. Throughout his career, he  led the tax practices of his respective firms.

Mr. Haines obtained a B.S. Degree with highest honors from Ball State University and has a Law Degree with honors from the University of Notre Dame. He was a Certified Public Accountant and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Indiana CPA Society, Indiana and Allen County Bar Associations, and American Health Lawyers Association.

Mr. Haines also served as leader for a variety of training programs and made numerous presentations on tax and legal topics to a variety of groups and associations. He was also an author of articles included in various publications.

Mr. Haines was active in a number of community projects and served on the Board of Directors for several local organizations.

Thomas J. Skiba was a Partner with Haines, Isenbarger & Skiba, LLC. Tom has over 34 years of experience, including 24 with Ernst & Young, where he coordinated the audit, accounting, tax and consulting needs of several major publicly and privately held manufacturing and health care companies and not-for-profit organizations with revenues from $1 million to $3 billion. 

Throughout his career, he has been involved in mergers and acquisitions, affiliations, leveraged buyouts, initial public offerings, capital and debt public offerings, and private placements.

Mr. Skiba obtained a B.B.A. Degree with honors in Accounting and Finance from the University of Notre Dame in 1975. He is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Indiana CPA Society, and Health Care Financial Management Association.

Mr. Skiba has also served as a Conference leader for a variety of training programs and has made numerous presentations on accounting and tax topics to a variety of groups such as the Financial Executives Institute, industry associations and several Indiana universities and colleges. He has also been an author of material used in various publications and position papers to regulatory agencies. He also serves as an Audit Quality reviewer where the audit and operating practices are scrutinized to ensure the quality, propriety and adherence to professional standards and firm policies and procedures by members of the firm on various engagements.

Mr. Skiba is active in a number of community projects and organizations and serves on the Board of Directors for the Embassy Theatre Foundation, Leadership Fort Wayne, the Notre Dame Club of Fort Wayne and Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton’s Catholic Church Endowment Committee.
